This four-day trip is specifically designed with your weekend getaway in mind. We have taken care of all the details so that you can relax and enjoy your time away from the bustle of the city. With just a short 4 hr drive, you will quickly enter into a world of rest and relaxation, refreshed by the natural paradise of Siguniangshan National Park.
Heading out from Chengdu, you will find yourself taking in the landscape with all your senses. Arriving in Changping Village on Day 1, you settled into your modern accommodations for the weekend and have plenty of time to settle in and explore your quaint village surroundings.
A light day trek through Changping Valley awaits you on Day 2. Just a few minutes is all it will take to begin rejuvenating your soul and clearing your mind. Day 3 will bring you further in and farther up, into the Haizi Valley, exploring the heights and depths of the park, with rewarding views every step of the way, including ridge-top vistas for those wanting more of a climb.
Day 4 will mark your reluctant return, but not before one last lingering morning. You will be free to spend it however you wish, taking a stroll through the village or one last hike into the valley. A noon departure will have you back in Chengdu in time for dinner, refreshed and dreaming of your next getaway.
This morning your driver will pick you up in Chengdu to begin your journey to Paradise. As you head out of the Sichuan basin you pass through a virtual time warp where everything becomes new: landscape, climate, cuisine, language, customs, and of course, the people. Ascending to terraced heights, you will travel through bamboo forests, quaint mountain communities, and beautiful canyon valleys. Arriving at your modern accommodations by the afternoon leaves you with plenty of time to explore your surroundings. City life feels like another world away as you relax and take in the clean air and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the village.
Heading out after breakfast today, you will be introduced to the wonders of Changping Valley at the western foot of Mt. Siguniang itself. This area is renowned for its natural beauty, alpine views, numerous waterfalls, and diverse landforms, flora, and fauna. Just a few minutes is all it will take to begin rejuvenating your soul and clearing your mind. With the first 4km of the valley outfitted with boardwalks, Changping is perfectly suited for light trekking at higher altitude, though the scenery itself may take your breath away.
Today gives you a full day to explore the Haizi Valley. Going at your own pace, and free to continue as far as you would like, your trek will take you up the ridge for beautiful views of the Four Sisters Range (max elevation of 3850m). Enjoy a picnic lunch; take a nap under a tree; play games with your kids in the grasslands on the broad ridge; linger along the trail and photograph everything you see; or push your limits to explore the reaches of the valley. Our guides will accommodate all of the above. Return earlier in the afternoon to relax at the guesthouse, or come back down in time for dinner at the end of the day.

This morning you will have the option of one last trek, or just leisurely relaxation in the village before departure. Leaving just after lunch will get you back into Chengdu by late afternoon.
